USAF EOS Center of Balance 1.0

The Center of Balance (CB) Calculator is a functional application designed to assist users in determining the center of balance for equipment with up to 5 axles and pallet trains comprising up to 10 boxes. Upon initiation, users are prompted to select the number of axles they wish to evaluate, after which a visual representation of those axles is presented on the screen.

Users are required to input the 'front end' distance (FFE) for each axle along with the respective axle weights. The interface provides immediate feedback by changing the color of the text box from red to green once the input is validated as correct. This process must be repeated for each axle, and the app only displays the center of balance when all data inputs are accurate. In cases where the information is incorrect, the center of balance will not be calculated, emphasizing attention to detail during data entry.

Furthermore, the app includes a “Form view” feature that displays numerical calculations, providing an additional layer of clarity and assurance in data annotation. Once users have completed their inputs for either a vehicle or pallet train, they have the option to begin a new entry or exit the application. This tool could prove beneficial for those requiring precise calculations in balancing equipment.
